The Africa Wildlife Wilderness Medicine conference is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! It combines a classic, wildlife-rich safari with an optional epic climb of Kilimanjaro  

We will explore some of the world's most scenic and remarkable wildlife treasures, including the famed Serengeti, the incomparable Ngorongoro Crater, and wildlife - rich Tarangire National Park. The landscapes are spectacular in beauty and incomparable in animal life.  

Wildlife that we commonly see on this trip are prides of lions, leopard, cheetah, elephants, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeest, cape buffalo, gazelle, impalas, wild dogs, warthogs, baboons, incredible birdlife, and dozens of other species! Our local guides are experts at finding the wildlife and teaching natural history.

There are a variety of reasons Japan powder skiing is at the top of many skiers' and riders' destination lists. The island of Hokkaido is legendary for arguably the driest and most consistent powder in the world. Enjoy uncrowded ski resorts and our English-speaking guides who will lead the way to untracked side-country skiing (that requires traversing, but not hiking).  

We've selected two different hotels as our "hubs" for this trip (in the towns of Furano and Otaru), and each day your guides will assess where the best nearby conditions and powder will be (Hokkaido is also famous for micro storms and varied snowfall within small areas).  

This trip is also a fantastic cultural experience! Our guides will make dinner arrangements nightly for the group, and be available to help with menu selections for adventurous eaters. Our lodging selections include in-hotel hot springs and are well-positioned for both skiing and walking around town.
